...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING
THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of 3 to 6 inches with up to 8 inches possible near
Lake Superior, and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an
inch possible. Snow will be wet and heavy. Winds could gust as
high as 55 mph Sunday and Sunday night leading to widespread
blowing snow and whiteout conditions, especially near Lake
Superior.
* WHERE...Alger, Luce and Northern Schoolcraft Counties.
* WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to
impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
